In recent years the importance of trees has risen up the political, public and media agenda. This is great news, but all too often the focus is placed purely on tree planting, with an emphasis on ever-increasing numbers. More and more people now understand the value of urban trees, but it often seems that a majority still don’t know much about arboriculture as a specialism or are aware of the wide range of expertise within our industry. With that in mind, this week on Arborists’ Question Time we ask our expert panel how can our industry best promote the importance of arboriculture as a profession?
